Breakbeat
When people stare, which they do, Daz thinks it’s because of his piercings,
or his clothes, or the asymmetry of his expression. They’re casting judgement
– that’s how he sees it. It would never occur to him that some might be
attracted to his quick, grey eyes or the flash of his mercurial smile.
Either way, he’s hard not to look at.

'Breakbeat is a pacy, unemotional tale of life in the inner city for the
socially disadvantaged and shows that modern British crime fiction is
alive and kicking over the traces.'
